Rob and the Grassroots were the best! The optimism of the 60s and 70s is now gone forever, but not his music, it will stand the test of time, Rob’s music and Lyrics played today, still make sence. My favorite song is “Glory Bound,”God what great lyrics! Rob, we will all miss not seeing you in our town. Please play this song for me, in remembering Rob and the best period of our great country.
You make me feel so close to heaven, whenever I’m beside you “Glory Bound” Lord, I ain’t never coming down! Thanks Rob! We in Grand Rapids, will all miss you!

I agree with you Marc! The Grass Roots was and still my favorite group of The 1960s and 1970s with New Member Dennis Provisor. I used to have all The Grass roots Albums. I was saddened to learn that my favorite Grass Roots member Passed Away on Monday, July 11th, 2011. I got the opportunity to attend a Grass Roots Concert and meeting Rob Grill at a New York City Town Hall Concert appearing with The Lovin’ Spoonful in April 2007. And i still have Rob’s autograph on The Grass Roots Promo Photo i got from Rob after the show. Rob took the time to sign autographs for his Fans and i appreciate Rob for his kindness. he’s a very nice guy! and Rob will be greatly misssed. In Closing, did you know that A Former Original Grass Roots member, drummer RICK COONCE Passed Away earlier this year February 25th, 2011 of heart failure??? Rick was 64 years old. ROB is the 2nd Grass Roots member to pass away. May ROB join RICK in heaven and rest in peace always. “Heaven’s Knows” is another of my Favorite Grass Roots Songs in 1971, Rob is on a New Journey with Rick in “Grass Roots” Heaven!
