 I had a great time today.  Had a few gems, including Sweet Thursday.  I especially like the Clapton tune, She Rides which is the original title of Let It Rain.

Well, One O'Clock Radio is on the air.  The show is broadcasting on WRIU FM 90.3 in Rhode Island. If you go to www.wriu.org you can listen live from just about anywhere.  It is on at 6 am Saturday till 9 am EST.  The first show was a blast, with the focus on some blues tunes.  Here is the playlist from the first show.

Today we talk about the transistor radio and how it freed people to listen wherever they wanted.

Salty Brine was one of my very first heroes.  He was bigger than life.  Always cheerful.  He exposed me to music from Brenda Lee to the Beatles.  I enjoyed listening to him every morning.  I dedicate this show to him.  He appealed to young and old.  He was one of the last DJ's to do that as music got more categorized and radio stations decided to play only one tiny slice of the pie.
